Grade my essay! 1-6 6 being the best?

prompt: How would Inherit the WInd be different if it was in a form of a noble.Have you ever read a book and wondered why did the author write it in a different way? Inherit the Wind is a book that was written as a play and I wish that it would have been written in a noble form. This book is very interesting, with very unique characters. The format of the book is not one that I really like, but the author decided to write it this way. I wonder why? Inherit the Wind would be different if it was to be written as a noble. Many of the characters would be able to show their feelings, and we would have a better understanding on their point of view. If the author would have written the book in a noble form, we as readers would have a better understanding of the environment that the characters are in. There would be better explanations on the emotions that each character is going through. In addition, readers would be able to know more about each of the character’s background. I really dislike the way that Inherit the Wind was written because I don’t really get to understand the characters point of view. It would have been better if the author would have written the book as a noble. I believe that this is a better choice of writing for this book because the characters all have different points of view. If the author would have written the book as a noble, characters such as Rachel and Cates would have explained their opinions and point of views in a different way. Even though there were reasons why it was bad for the book to be written as a play, there were also some good things. Actors who act out the play get to show their skill and express the emotion of the characters more than if they were reading the noble. During the noble reading you’re not able to show actions. There are parts in the book that it would be harder to convey in a noble than in the play. One of the parts that it would be hard to convey is the arguments between characters. Everything has two sides, this is my second side to my opinion on the way that the book Inherit the Wind was written. Everyone has their own opinion on things? What is your opinion on the book Inherit the Wind? Do you like the way it was written? In the essay you were able to understand my feelings towards the book. I really dislike the format, and I still have the question of why the author decided to write it this way. Even though there were reasons why it was bad for the book to be written as a play, there were also some good things. This is why I explained, both of my opinions in the essay.

Lots of ‘noble’ there. Apart from that it reads OK.

2- doesn’t sound like an essay. More like a speech with all of the rhetorical questions. Maybe a bit short too.

This does not sound like an essay. It does not look like one either. The thesis statement tells the reader what the essay will be about, and what point you, the author, will be making. You know what the essay will be about. That was your topic. Now you must look at your outline or diagram and decide what point you will be making. What do the main ideas and supporting ideas that you listed say about your topic?*EXAMPLE*Your thesis statement will have two parts. The first part states the topic.Kenya’s CultureBuilding a Model Train SetPublic TransportationThe second part states the point of the essay.has a rich and varied historytakes time and patiencecan solve some of our city’s most persistent and pressing problemsOr in the second part you could simply list the three main ideas you will discuss.has a long history, blends traditions from several other cultures, and provides a rich heritage.requires an investment in time, patience, and materials.helps with traffic congestion, resource management, and the city budget.Once you have formulated a thesis statement that fits this pattern and with which you are comfortable, you are ready to continue. Each main idea that you wrote down in your diagram or outline will become one of the body paragraphs. If you had three or four main ideas, you will have three or four body paragraphs. Each body paragraph will have the same basic structure.Start by writing down one of your main ideas, in sentence form.If your main idea is “reduces freeway congestion,” you might say this:Public transportation reduces freeway congestion.Next, write down each of your supporting points for that main idea, but leave four or five lines in between each point. In the space under each point, write down some elaboration for that point.Elaboration can be further description or explanation or discussion.Supporting PointCommuters appreciate the cost savings of taking public transportation rather than driving.ElaborationLess driving time means less maintenance expense, such as oil changes.Of course, less driving time means savings on gasoline as well.In many cases, these savings amount to more than the cost of riding public transportation. If you wish, include a summary sentence for each paragraph. This is not generally needed, however, and such sentences have a tendency to sound stilted, so be cautious about using them.
